Hypoglycaemia is a condition in which blood glucose levels fall lower than they should be, which can cause symptoms such as shakiness, sweating, fatigue, difficulty concentrating and, in some cases, more serious episodes. It can occur in people with diabetes as a side effect of certain medications, or — in some cases — independently. Your GP is best placed to investigate the underlying cause, advise on any medication involved, and oversee your medical care — that always comes first, and we never advise you to stop or adjust any prescribed medication.
Many people living with hypoglycaemia are curious about how the timing, composition and regularity of their meals and snacks might be affecting how they feel between episodes. A personalised nutritional therapy approach looks at your individual eating patterns, food choices and daily routine, and may help support your general energy and wellbeing alongside the medical care your GP or specialist provides.
Nutritional therapy is not a medical treatment, and we don’t claim to treat, cure or prevent hypoglycaemia. What we offer is personalised nutrition and lifestyle support for your general wellbeing — using ordinary, accessible food and practical guidance.
